Lessons From Mojo: Cable Care
Spring is in the air and folks are starting to think about getting the bike out of hibernation. A basic tune up is always a good idea, but an important topic we want to cover today is cable corrosion. When shifting, cables move back and forth in housing. After time, the grease inside the housing gets flushed out, either from moisture or just general use (creating unnecessary friction). When you bring your bike into Mojo’s for a tune up, we will assess the wear on cables and housing. It is a inexpensive and simple way to keep your bike running great. Cable are $2 a piece and housing is a $1 per foot. Installation of accessories is covered under our basic tune.
